How music is shaped has always been intriguing to me. It’s power to pull you into a new setting or feeling is astounding. It can pull you into a new space. That’s what I’m chasing when I’m making music. Finding that moment. The moment that just came into existence for the first time, gifted to the few who experienced it making it together. That’s worthwhile. That’s worth the hours sacrificed chasing. We live in a time of human life where those moments can be documented and shared with people outside of our walks, living completely separate experiences from ours. That’s worth leaning into. These moments we are gifted to bring about into existence are worth our time. It goes beyond us.

How this chase looks for me

  • I have a hole in the wall, little studio in Anchorage, AK. It’s a modest room. Enough to fit some drums, a piano, a desk, a soundboard and a few other odds and ends. It’s cozy, but those limitations have forced creativity. Some of the instruments and gear are high-end and others are very unconventional. It’s not the picture of idealism but I’ve never been more inspired to create anywhere than in that space. Seriously, the room has no business sounding as cool as it does.

  • Tone defines the feel of a song. I love shaping it. So I’ve invested in gear that helps me create fast and manipulate sounds until I find something that catches me. The goal is to create music that feels honest to the artist, something that they are excited to share; something beautiful.

  • I want to help actualize your art.

I can engineer or produce your project, track drums for your song, or just write parts with you. However it looks, I want to contribute to your art being realized and shared in a way that you’re excited about.

The Space is always shifting around but this is how it’s looked recently. In sessions I try to gear it towards being able to pick up anything to add to the moment quickly and then move on.

If you’re curious about a project, reach out and I’ll see what I can do for you. My goal is to add value to people, and make beautiful things. Whatever that looks like, I’m game.
